Assisted Living Appreciation Week-Day 4

The talented Dave Pattridge and his music group “The Levee Singers” came dressed in purple and pink, giving a wonderful performance in which they made everyone laugh, cry and of course, sing! We sang some “good old” tunes, as well as some patriotic and religious numbers.  I was given the opportunity to share my vocal talents in the performance, and saw so many smiling, happy people, full of life and hope as we all sang “God bless America”. Music is truly a special language which is communicated in a way that words simply cannot do. We were all so blessed to have Dave and the Levee Singers make our week extra special!

Every Friday we play bingo from 1-2:45, followed by “happy hour” at 3:00. To “kick it up a notch” for our special week, we set “happy hour” at a later time and ordered takeout pizza! Come on, who doesn’t love pizza?! And just when you thought pizza was a wonderful thing in and of itself, we had a whole meal of chicken wings, broccoli salad and fresh, homemade cookies! Cheers!
